First visit, insurance and payment

The first visit is a consultation: an exam, a scan and a conversation. It takes about an hour. We tell you the fee when you book.

How it works

  1. Call to book

Call (863) 555-0147. Tell us your dental plan, and we check your orthodontic benefit before you come.

  2. The consultation

Dr. Breckett examines the teeth and bite. We take photos, a 3D scan and any X-rays he needs.

  3. A written plan

You leave with the options, how long each takes, the fee, and what insurance will likely pay.

Your first visit

Bring your dental insurance card, a list of medicines, and the name of your family dentist. A parent or guardian comes with patients under 18.

There is no pressure to start the same day. Many families compare options at home and start at a second visit.

Insurance and orthodontic benefits

Many dental plans include an orthodontic benefit with a lifetime maximum. We file the claim and tell you what your plan will likely pay before treatment starts.

Ways to pay

We accept credit and debit cards, HSA and FSA cards.

Monthly payment plans

Spread the fee over the months of treatment with an in-house plan. Ask the office about plan terms.

First visit questions

What does the first consultation cost?

We tell you the fee when you book. It covers the exam and the scan, whether or not you start treatment.

Does a parent need to come?

Yes, for patients under 18. A parent or guardian needs to hear the options and sign any consent.

Can we start the same day?

Sometimes, if the schedule allows. Most families take the plan home first.
